Founding Director

With 25+ years' experience spanning Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia Pacific, Stewart Downs is a true brand visionary. His impressive journey includes a pivotal role as the former CEO of ASX-listed Funtastic Ltd., where he strategically restructured the company, expanding its international footprint while ensuring sustained profitability. Stewart's career boasts accomplishments like rejuvenating Mattel Inc. in Australia and New Zealand, achieving remarkable growth, and steering Mattel Inc.'s Asia region to consistent success in diverse markets.

Alongside his wife Lauren, Stewart has also established a thriving children's apparel business in Australia and New Zealand, showcasing renowned European brands.

Holding a BCA with majors in Economics and Business Administration from Victoria University (NZ) and a CIP in Accountancy from Massey University (NZ), Stewart is unwavering in his belief in The Brand Exchange's potential to lead in a rapidly evolving marketplace.

Michael Harris

Founding Director

As a founding director at The Brand Exchange, Michael Harris leads marketing, brand management, and retailer engagement. His prior role as Head of Marketing at Funtastic Ltd. showcased his talent for brand transformation and executing successful marketing strategies.

With over 14 years of experience in the consumer products industry, Michael passionately drives brand success in dynamic Australian and New Zealand markets. His achievements include securing television contracts, leading e-commerce initiatives, and revitalising established brands.

Michael's academic foundation features a Bachelor of Business from the University of Newcastle, firmly reinforcing his belief in The Brand Exchange's distinctive value proposition for brands navigating ever-changing market landscapes.
